April 1, 2023, Pickled Mule Academy was founded out of a genuine passion for pickleball and a commitment to helping you elevate your game. Our mission is simple: meet you where you are and guide you towards achieving your personal pickleball goals with expert coaching and unwavering support.

Our founder, Kenda West, discovered the magic of pickleball during the pandemic and quickly fell in love with the game. With a rich background in sports including tennis, golf, basketball, field hockey and skeet shooting. Kenda has always dreamed of coaching. Her extensive career as a healthcare technology executive with health systems, Fortune 500 companies, and startups was fulfilling, but nothing compares to her passion for pickleball. After relocating to Columbia in 2019, Kenda built a vibrant community through pickleball, making Columbia truly feel like home.
